Qudra: Arab Philanthropy Network
Developed a trilingual website for Qudra: Arab Philanthropy Network, featuring Arabic, English, and Hebrew language support, RTL-compatible layouts, and a custom accessibility plugin to improve usability and inclusive access to information.

Qudra: Building an Accessible, Trilingual Digital Experience
Project Overview
Qudra: Arab Philanthropy Network is an organization focused on strengthening strategic philanthropy within Arab society. The network connects donors, community leaders, civil society organizations, and philanthropic institutions to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and sustainable social impact.
The project involved developing a multilingual digital platform that communicates Qudra's mission, showcases its initiatives, and makes its resources accessible to a diverse audience. The website supports Arabic, English, and Hebrew, bringing together organizational information, publications, events, and community initiatives within a consistent digital experience.
The Challenge
Developing a website for a multilingual organization requires more than translating content. Each language introduces considerations around text direction, typography, navigation, layout consistency, and usability.
Arabic and Hebrew require right-to-left (RTL) layouts, while English follows a left-to-right (LTR) direction. The challenge was to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all three language versions while ensuring that navigation, content structure, and interactive elements remained intuitive.
Accessibility was another important consideration. The website needed to provide a more inclusive browsing experience for visitors with different accessibility requirements without compromising the overall design or usability.
My Approach
My approach focused on multilingual website development, responsive interface design, RTL/LTR layout handling, and custom accessibility functionality. The goal was to create a flexible digital platform that supports the organization's communication needs while making its content easier to navigate and access.
Trilingual Website Development
The website supports Arabic, English, and Hebrew, allowing visitors to explore Qudra's mission, activities, resources, and initiatives in their preferred language. The multilingual structure maintains consistent navigation and content presentation across the different language versions.
RTL and LTR Layout Implementation
Supporting both right-to-left and left-to-right languages requires careful handling of layout alignment, text flow, spacing, navigation, and interface components.
The website incorporates language-specific layout considerations to accommodate Arabic and Hebrew alongside English. This helps maintain a consistent user experience while respecting the structural requirements of each language.
Custom Accessibility Plugin
A key feature of the project was the development of a custom accessibility plugin that provides additional accessibility controls and supports a more inclusive browsing experience.
The custom implementation was designed to integrate with the website's interface while improving the usability of its content and navigation. Accessibility was treated as part of the overall website experience rather than an isolated feature.
Responsive Web Design
The website was developed with responsive layouts to support access across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Content sections, navigation, and interface elements were structured to remain usable across different screen sizes and language directions.
Content and Information Architecture
Qudra's website brings together organizational information, strategic initiatives, knowledge resources, newsletters, events, and community-focused content.
The content structure helps visitors understand the organization's mission, explore its core pillars of knowledge, networking, strategic partnerships, and collaborative giving, and discover opportunities to engage with the network.
